SSAT Upper Level – What You Need to Know<\/h3>\n

The Upper Level SSAT is for students currently in grades 8-11 who are applying to attend grades 9-12 next year.<\/p>\n

The Upper Level SSAT has four multiple-choice sections: \u00a0one verbal section with synonyms and analogies, one reading section with passages and questions, and two quantitative sections with math problems.<\/p>\n

We currently have three books available for the Upper Level SSAT, described below. The links bring you to the Amazon.com pages where each book is available for purchase.<\/p>\n

NEW IN APRIL 2020<\/strong> – Kindle editions of all The Best Unofficial Practice Tests<\/em> books are now available. Each test is its own eBook that can be purchased separately. Links are with the book descriptions below. These are available on Kindle Fire tablets<\/a> and with the free Kindle app available for Android<\/a>, iOS (in the App Store), Windows<\/a>, and Mac<\/a>, but are unavailable for eReaders such as the Kindle<\/a>, Paperwhite<\/a>, and Oasis<\/a> due to the figures and degree of formatting in our materials. We recommend a 10-inch screen or larger for maximum readability. Answer sheets to accompany these tests can be downloaded and printed from the downloads page<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Success on the Upper Level SSAT — A Complete Course:<\/strong><\/em><\/a> \u00a0This book includes vocabulary lessons, complete strategies for each section (including quick drills to reinforce concepts), and in-depth content instruction for the math section including practice sets. This book also includes one full-length practice test.<\/p>\n

This book has been revised regularly to incorporate topics covered in the official materials released by The Enrollment Management Association, the administrators of the SSAT.<\/p>\n

30 Days to Acing the Upper Level SSAT:<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u00a0 This book includes 15 workouts that are perfect for reinforcing strategies and giving students more practice before the test. \u00a0Each workout takes about half an hour and includes a vocabulary lesson and practice for each of the multiple-choice sections. Each workout also includes detailed explanations so that students learn how to analyze and improve their performance.<\/p>\n
